Designated Survivor, a series created by David Guggenheim and starring Kiefer Sutherland, tells the story of Tom Kirkman, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development of the United States (USA), who after not attending the State of the Union Address becomes the the only survivor of an explosion that ends the lives of the president and all members of the Cabinet.
Kirkman immediately swore as president, not knowing that the attack is only the beginning of what is to come.
The political drama of ABC premiered on September 21, 2016 and after its second season the chain decided to cancel it. However, once again Netflix came to the rescue and announced a third installment of 10 episodes, which are available from Friday, November 7.
The third season begins with the first campaign for president of Kirkman in full swing. He has never had to campaign so this is a completely new territory, where he will face all the realities of today’s political landscape, including “defamation tactics, debates, campaign finance and ‘false news'”.
Despite the recent release of this release of Designated Survivor fans of the series are already asking about its fourth season.
Although Netflix ** has not yet made any announcement about the renewal or cancellation of the show, it seems to have a promising future, since it is unlikely that Netflix will save it if it thought otherwise, it should have seen potential in the plot of “” Designated Survivor “.
